Hello all! We know you have seen many jokes on Soan Papdi, but we know how secretly delicious it is! And this Rakshabandhan, we are creating sugar free Soan Papdi recipe at home, with Sweetify. Which means, it is diabetic-friendly, low-calorie, and tasty.
Note: You can customize the usage of saffron, and dry fruits as per your needs, so let’s start!

Ingredients For Soan Papdi

(for 500g of Soan Papdi)

  • 1 cup Besan (gram flour)
  • 1 cup Maida (all-purpose flour)
  • 200g Ghee
  • 35g Sweetify stevia sweetener (equivalent to 240g sugar)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
  • A pinch of Saffron strands
  • ¼ cup Chopped pistachios and almonds (for garnish)

Sugar Free Soan Papdi Recipe

Step 1: Roast the besan and maida in 100g of ghee over low heat until they become golden brown and provide a nutty scent. This could require ten to fifteen minutes. To prevent burning, be sure to stir often.

Step 2: Heat the remaining ghee in another pan. Pour in the milk and Sweetify stevia sweetener, stirring to dissolve the Sweetify fully. Simmer for a few minutes, or until the mixture slightly thickens.

Step 3: Stir continuously to prevent lumps as you gradually incorporate the roasted flour mixture into the Sweetify-milk combination. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the mixture pulls away from the pan's sides and takes on the consistency of dough.

Step 4: Stir thoroughly after adding the saffron strands and cardamom powder. Transfer the mixture onto a tray that has been oiled and level it out. Smooth the surface using a spatula or the back of a spoon.

Step 5: Gently press the chopped almonds and pistachios into the surface as a garnish. Before slicing it into square or diamond-shaped pieces, let it cool slightly.

Step 6: Store the Soan Papdi in an airtight container after letting it cool completely to set.
